After a month of learning about God's Global Church that concluded with Global Fest, which we hope you all attended, the children are now returning to the New Testament parables, specifically the one about God's Great Banquet. A wealthy man gave a big feast and invited many guests. When the guests began to make excuses why they could not attend, the host sent a servant to invite all of the poor, blind, lame, and disfigured--the unlovely people in society, even from the back roads and country lanes. He wanted his house to be full for the celebration! The parable teaches us about God. God loves us all, and wants everyone to be present at God's heavenly banquet. NO EXCUSES please! No one is outside of God's love and forgiveness.
Parents, please see that your children learn these important lessons by making sure they attend Sunday School. The children have a great time in Sunday School, so make it a priority that they are allowed to attend. And while they are in their classes, you are also invited to attend the Adult Forum, or just to hang out in the Parents' Room and visit with other parents.
Hoping to see you at Sunday School!
